Marble is vulnerable to staining and discoloration so it should be sealed with a commercial grade stone sealer. Four no wax polishes. This means it is nsf ansi 51 2012 compliant. It will usually only take a few minutes.

This will make your stone yellow. Remove the wax. The best marble sealer is going have low or no vocs volatile organic compounds and be environmentally friendly.
