At a minimum wait at least 10 minutes for the wax to soak in.

Marble is vulnerable to staining and discoloration so it should be sealed with a commercial grade stone sealer.
Four no wax polishes.
This means it is nsf ansi 51 2012 compliant.
It will usually only take a few minutes.
Lastly remove the wax from your countertop.
Stay away from wax and polish.
As you are carefully removing the wax you will need to make sure you are not getting wax back onto the countertop.
To do this use grade 0000 steel wool.
Since marble countertops grace many kitchens the sealer will also be certified safe for use where food is prepared.
This will remove any impurities from the surface of the marble that may interfere with the sealing process.
There are specific marble polishes easily found.
Expect to seal every year despite popular sealant brands saying that they last three.
It needs to have a solid manufacturer backed product warranty.
Marble wax is used as a coating to protect the surface of the marble.
Spray the counter with a marble cleaner and buff dry with a soft cloth.
I recommend dupont stonetech bulletproof sealer.
This will make your stone yellow.
Remove the wax.
The best marble sealer is going have low or no vocs volatile organic compounds and be environmentally friendly.
